The Roots of Baba Ramdev

 Born as Ram Krishna Yadav in the Haryana village of Narnaul, Mahindergarh district, he studied only until class VIII. Later, he joined a gurukul and began taking lessons in yoga and the Vedas. In the early 1990s he used to sell amla (Indian gooseberry) on his bicycle and extoll its medicinal value (it is a big source of vitamin C) until he met a trader whose wife was on her deathbed.

Ram Krishna Yadav revived her and in gratitude the trader set Ramdev up in business. His first enterprise was located at Kankhal, near Haridwar – the Divya Yog Pharmacy

Ramdev recently joined hands with the world’s leading packaging solutions company Tetra Pak to develop an array of ready-to-drink health beverages in aseptic packages of different sizes and shapes. In the US, the yoga guru had also acquired an ayurvedic medicine company in the name of Herbo Ved, for an undisclosed sum, to sell new products abroad.

Fast Bowling and Chewing Gums

At Warwickshire, Dermot Reeve noticed that his bowlers somehow had the ability to keep the ball swinging far longer than any team they faced. Dermot Reeve was initially clueless on the reason though. By process of investigation and elimination he finally figured out the reason was that the player incharge of polishing and keeping the ball clean was  chewing extra strong mints that produced saliva which, when applied to the ball for cleaning purposes, enabled it to shine and swing for longer. In the right place at the right time

 On   an October in  1954, 12 year old Cassius clay and one of his friend rode their bicycles to th Columbia
auditorium, for its annual  convention. The boys parked their bicycles and went around the bazaar for few  hours and decided to head back  home. But when they walked back to where they'd left their bikes, the new Schwinn bike of Cassius clay was gone.

Cassius  was in tears and went to a police officer standing near the basement of the building, where there was a boxing gym, the Columbia gym. Cassius was furious and demanded a statewide manhunt for his bike and threatened the beat hell out of the kid who had stolen it,

The police officer, named Joe Martin after listening to Cassius's oaths of revenge, said, "well do you know how to fight?"

Cassius said no, but I'd fight anyway. Martin said that perhaps the best thing to do would be to come around to the gym and learn how to fight before making any nasty challenges

Soon  Cassius   started coming to the gym on South florida street and learned the rudiments of boxing.
