pleo

listed by Time magazine as one of the best inventions in 2006 and set to rock $36 billion US toy industry pleo (a robotic toy), is stuffed with 38 sensors that pick up motion, light, touch, and sound as well as eight IC chips capable of performing 60 million calculations per second.
The robot will have "organic movement" that attempts to replicate the way living organisms move and respond to changes in the outside world and within themselves. Pleo's personality will change and grow according to its environment and the programming "DNA" built into him. Two or more Pleos will recognize one another
