Allstate insurance
In 1930, on a train to Chicago, insurance broker Carl Odell suggested to his neighbor, Sear Roebuck & company president Gen. Robert E Wood that Sears should start an auto insurance and sell insurance by mail that idea became reality and Allstate Insurance Company was launched by Sears in 1931
